Magnum Pro cup shells are heat treated to reach 60 on the HRC scale. This environmentally friendly method creates a sharp cut with excellent edge retention and the ability to hold a very sharp, precise edge for a long time. Heat treating is not a coating, so no surface putting, flaking, or hydrogen embrittlement.
